My 88 year old grandmother was scared of these boys. At this stage they were young teenagers. She lived across the road from the lady who was later murdered. My grandmother installed heavy metal security screens on every window in her house after these boys tried to intimidate her into allowing them to use her garage as a place to hang out. Another neighbour fully secured this garage door after an attempt was made to break in. The boys continued to come to my grandmother's front door and insist that she allow them to use the garage. It was at this point she spoke to me of her concerns and installed security bars on every window of the house. She was not the type of person to scare easily. This happen about 2 years prior to the murder of Marie Zidan. My family and I vowed to ensure that my grandmother would not be living in that house after these boys were released.
